Haori & Kimono The men's traditional haori and kimono are some of the more understated garments in the Japanese wardrobe. The lining of the haori and the outside of the nagajuban or underkimono is where their sense of style was displayed. We photograph the lining side of the haori as it is often the most interesting. These garments make a striking wall displays as well as being wearable art. |
Sashes or Obi The men's kimono are typically worn with a soft fabric sash or obi to hold them closed. The haori are not worn sashed but we do have a selection of men's obi and soft fabric sashes that can be worn with the kimono or haori if you choose. We also offer custom-made sashes for a small cost. They require an extra 4 weeks to make. Please contact us. ($20 with purchase, $40 without) |
